Sonning Neighbourhood Plan goes to Regulation 16

In the dim past before Covid hit the UK, we held the initial meeting to discuss the possibility of Sonning Parish developing a Neighbourhood Plan in the Pearson Hall. That was in February 2020, quite some time ago. So we are now very pleased to be able to inform you that Wokingham Borough Council have approved our Plan to go to Regulation 16.

The Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 16 in Wokingham Borough allows for a six-week consultation period for plan proposals. During this time, the public can provide feedback on the plan's content and any specific policies or proposals. The consultation is an opportunity for the local planning authority to consider the plan and submit representations. After the consultation, the plan is examined by an independent examiner to determine if it meets the necessary requirements to proceed to the final step of this long process, which is a referendum and potential adoption.
